These cranberry bogs out along the route to Menemsha Light are a bonanza for nature lovers, due to them being a major breeding area for many species of birds. The beautiful marshes are a sight to behold in the early morning, and there are some great views across the water to Menemsha. There is also a small but popular public beach at the end of the road.

One of Martha's Vineyard's most iconic attractions, Flying Horses Carousel is the oldest and most revered of America's merry-go-rounds. In operation continuously since 1876, the Flying Horses Carousel has been declared a National Historic Landmark and has delighted millions of children and adults alike. Just the horses themselves are worth viewing for the level of artistry visible in their design and paintwork; they even have real horse hair for manes! The fairground has typical snacks and drinks, and although very popular, you will rarely be waiting too long in lines before sampling this historic attraction.

Located just 3 miles / 5 km from Edgartown, the Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary is a favorite with nature lovers and a great place to view the island's flora and fauna. There is a wealth of outdoor recreational facilities, with cycling, hiking, canoeing, snorkeling, astronomy and camping all on offer. Guided treks through the 6 miles / 10 km of trails are easily arranged, with experienced rangers providing numerous details on the sights you will witness. The Visitors' Center has a gift shop, maps and also exhibits on snakes and fish.

Covering around 20 acres / 8 hectares, the Polly Hill Arboretum is located in the West Tisbury area of Martha's Vineyard and contains many impressive botanical specimens.
